Q. How does the writer structure the essay and to what effect? Is it a linear narrative? or is it fragmented?
A. The essay is structured by his trip, but the way he structured his writing was very confusing. It is as if each paragraph is a different story in its own which affects the reader because he doesn’t know what’s going on. The essay is linear structure wise but when you’re talking about text structure it is fragmented, because there are no transitions that help you into the paragraph.

I agree with you Walt. This essay was confusing and extremely hard to follow. You bring up a very good point about the linear structure of the essay but fragmented structure of the sentences.
