Researching for the group project
I find the topic very interesting, because there is tons i dont know about raptor deaths. though looking for statistics are a bit difficult I dont mind at all because im learning a lot and any statistic we find we be essential to our project.

past group experiences
group projects in the past haven't been too bad for me, ive been paired with hard workers and "slackers." a positive experience i remember was last semester in english 150, my group and I were good about communicating whether via email or text. We were able to meet at convenient locations and everyone had good input for the project.
one bad experience i remember was in high school when i was paried with 2 other people, we had to make a game board with rules and everything. I called them countless times and got no answer, i was stuck trying to come up with a game 2 nights before it was due, it was rough.

Manifesto/ The making of a marginal farm
for Manifesto I felt a more personal connection because i was able to relate to some the text in the poem. I was able to think back to a time when my family and I would go camping and have a great time in the outdoors. For Marginal Farm there wasnt a personal connection but 'i did like the story. i felt the guy was wise and creaqtive in the way he built this house up from nothing. He also seemed innovative because he always found a way to find loop-holes. "Another change in our economy (and our lives) was accomplished in the fall of 1973 wuth the purchase of our first wood-burning stove.

A. I feel the intent of Manifesto was to take readers back to a more peaceful time in their lives and as well tell them to live and enjoy what they have, dont be afraid to make mistakes life isnt perfect

Having Faith
Q. what is her purpose/audience in writting this? how does she get her message across? would you consider this writting-as-activism?
A. Her purpose is to inform the public of the effects of PCBs and DDT in breast milk and how it affects the babies as well as the women. Her audience was not only the general public but women who didn’t know that the foods and things they put in their bodies were affected and tampered with the breast milk thus being transferred to the baby. Her message is very factual so it is safe to safe she got her point across because you can’t refute facts and information unless you are in true denial. The definition of activism is: The use of direct, often confrontational action, such as a demonstration or strike, in opposition to or support of a cause. So I’d consider her writing very mild activism.

cleaning for change
I cant really think of a lot of things I take part in the effects change. I know back in HS I had a real good friend who was very high on recycling. So one day she invited me out to just pick up trash around the school and take all the bottle and things of that nature to a recycling center. It felt good to do that, I can honestly say if we weren't good friends I probably would have never took the time out to do that. so what started out as being a friend a saying yes to helping her actually helped me realize that it is important to clean our environment. Till this day when I see things infront of my apartment building I just pick it up and throw it away, because there are many little animals that run around Freddy Court. Im not apart of any major environmentalist groups or the expert on being Green,I just appreciate a clean surrounding like any other person.
